NSF IUCRC AMRITA Planning Meeting
The University of Wyoming (UWyo) is hosting the planning meeting for the Industry-University Cooperative Research Center (IUCRC) on AI/ML-driven Research in Infrastructure Trust Assurance (AMRITA) in collaboration with Colorado State University (CSU). This initiative aims to explore the feasibility of a university-industry partnership that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to enhance the security, resilience, and trustworthiness of critical infrastructure.
Key Research Focus Areas:
The center will drive innovation and economic growth by facilitating industry collaborations, research internships, and workforce development initiatives. It will contribute to national security by safeguarding critical infrastructure systems and promoting trustworthy development practices. Additionally, the center’s activities align with the rapidly growing AI/ML market, projected to exceed $407 billion by 2027, while addressing cybersecurity threats that pose significant risks to enterprises and government operations. Through this planning meeting, UW and CSU will work with industry stakeholders to refine research priorities, establish collaborative frameworks, and define pathways for long-term funding. This initiative underscores UW’s commitment to technological innovation, economic resilience, and societal well-being, ensuring that AI/ML advancements contribute to a safer, more trustworthy future. The planning meeting will focus on the coordination of industry partnerships and the presentation of potential projects to be funded by the AMRITA center. The center's current research priorities include energy, agriculture, weather, and transportation. All faculty with research areas aligned with the center’s goals are encouraged to submit proposals to Diksha Shukla: dshukla@uwyo.edu
